February downpours
17 MARCH, 2013
The end of summer blessed us with loads of rain and plenty of sunshine this year, so the garden has been growing well. We have been packing on the compost and worm castings and have been mulching loads.
The chicken manure has also given the garden a huge lift. The garden rarely needs to be watered which is fantastic. I feel like there are enough composts and worm farms for all our veggie scraps to be tossed into, to become fertiliser for the garden.
Even though I know the garden could be a lot more self-sufficient, I do feel like it's finally finding its feet.
