Second chick was stuck unzipping for a long time and at 4am this morning - 3 Nov - day 24 of incubation- I helped him out after well over 24 hours🤞He had done a little poo in his shell, so I reckon he was well over due to hatch. I should have helped him out sooner 😣😣😣
No pips yet from last 3 eggs
First chick happy in brooder.

This has been an interesting experience, but feels a little too Frankensteiny to me
Gonna just get baby birds raised by their mums in future I think.
Worried about the last 3 eggs 😓 I think I let the humidity get too low during lockdown. My incubator doesn’t have a humidity reading so just going by trial and error filling up two basins of water and hoping for the best. When humidity gets too low during hatching the inner membrane can stick to the chick and make it impossible for them to hatch. If this has happened I will have to decide if I’m gonna perform an assisted hatching again or not. But apparently it can take up to 25 days for a chick to hatch so I’m gonna wait a while.
